The iPod is a portable media player developed and produced by electronics and computer giants Apple Inc.(commonly known just as Apple) which was first introduced in October 23,nfl jerseys on sale,2001.The iPod family consists? of the hard drive based iPod Classic, the touch-screen and modern iPod Touch, the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle.

The iPod Classic is the only model that uses an internal hard drive to store the multimedia content as all other models use a flash drive, this way securing their small size.As all other portable music players,iPods can not only serve for entertainment, nfl sports jerseys, but as a portable storage device as well,as the storage capacity of an iPod differs from 2GB,the maximum of an iPod Shuffle,up to even 160 GB for the iPod Classic.Since their original release dates, all models of the iPod were redesigned several times, the las time in September 1,2010.

Because it is an Apple product,it works very nice with other Apple products,as the iTunes software for transferring and managing music files can be,and it is recommended for use when also using certain Machintosh computers(but can be used on PCs that use certain Apple Machintosh and Windows operating systems as well). For the users that cannot use iTunes,or do not want to,there are several open source alternatives. The iTunes however can transfer photos, videos or games, even e-mail settings, browser bookmarks and calendars for those models that support such content.

iPod models that come with a color display use anti-aliased graphics and text as well, with sliding animations.Besides the 3rd generation iPod Shuffle and the iPod Touch, all iPod models have five buttons instored.Later generations have the five buttons instored on an innovating design structure called the click wheel. It gives the iPod an uncluttered and minimalist design.

The click wheel's buttons are used for performing basic task such as play, pause, previous track, next track or menu, and the rotational use of the wheel let's you scroll through the iPod's menu. The 3rd generation iPod Shuffle does not have any buttons on the actual device, but it presents basic controls such as play/pause,next track, football uniforms, previous track, etc on the earphone cable.

The iPhone Touch doesn't have a click wheel either,as it uses a 3.5 touch screen. It lacks a great number of physical buttons,as the only present buttons are the Home button, the Sleep/Awake button. The first generations also lack volume keys,as only 3rd and 4th generations of the Apple iPod Touch have volume keys. The user interface on the iPhone Touch is identical to the one used on the other touch screen device from Apple, the iPhone.

The difference is that some buttons or tasks cannot be executed on both devices, due to their nature and use purpose. For example, football uniforms, the awake/sleep key is present on both iPod and iPhone products, but in the case of the iPhone, nfl sales,it can also help users set the phone's mode to silent or another mode. This task cannot be achieved by pressing the same button on the iPod because it is not a phone, therefore it doesn't need a silent mode,or another mode for that matter.
